New Project Guide

A guide for setting up new Projects.

Introduction

Project Control is the top-level administration of the ActivityExchange (AE) hierarchy for a project. It is here that Project Controllers (PC) define the various types of activities for a project, create those activities where necessary and assign them to teams for completion. Activities can be scheduled, their progress can be tracked and eventually they can be merged into the System Information Model against their corresponding asset item.


Project Controller Initial Set-up Process

Note: You can skip this step if your project has already been configured for you and you have your project code.

To get your project started in AE you must first submit a request to AE administrators to have your project configured.

Information Required

You will need to provide the following for AE administrators:

  1. A client name
  2. An asset name
  3. A name for the project/phase
  4. A data source (e.g., a DAD SIM)
  5. The names of your teams (both internal and external)

AE administrators will provide the necessary resources in the cloud and notify you when your project is available. You will also be provided with a 10-digit project code and 8-digit codes for each of your nominated teams.
